Meet Your Math Instructor
Mr. Cortez Young is a certified educator in Middle Grades Mathematics and Exceptional Student Education (K–12). He earned his bachelor’s degree in Exceptional Student Education in the spring of 2015. Mr. Young has been recognized for his excellence in teaching, earning a Level 5 rating in Hillsborough County Public Schools and receiving a nomination for the Ida S. Baker Educator of the Year. Most notably, he was honored as Teacher of the Year for the 2025–2026 school year, reflecting his dedication, impact, and commitment to student achievement. With over a decade of experience in education, Mr. Young is passionate about extending his expertise beyond the classroom to inspire and empower students.
Meet Your ELA Instructor
Latonya Young is a certified English Language Arts teacher for grades 5–12 and also holds a K–12 Exceptional Student Education certification. With over a decade of experience, she has helped countless students develop strong reading and writing skills. Currently serving in middle grades language arts and reading, she believes that strong readers become exceptional writers and is committed to helping students build confidence and mastery in literacy.
