Our purpose is to support scholars and families by providing educational services that address their individual needs and goals.

Rize Over Run LLC offers Academic Tutoring, Homeschool & Virtual School Support, GED Preparation & Diploma Services, and Student Success Coaching. 

Our services are designed to accommodate different learning needs, academic goals, and family circumstances.

Through individualized instruction, educational planning, academic progress monitoring, and ongoing support, we help scholars develop the skills and confidence needed for continued success.

We work closely with families to understand their educational priorities, identify areas of need, and develop practical plans that support each scholar's educational journey.

We also recognize that academic success involves more than classroom performance. Developing effective study habits, strengthening foundational skills, building personal responsibility, improving organization, and encouraging positive decision-making are important parts of a scholar's overall development.

Founded by husband-and-wife educators Cortez and Latonya Young, Rize Over Run LLC brings together more than 25 years of combined educational experience and a shared passion for student success. Built on professionalism, quality instruction, individualized support, and a commitment to academic achievement, our organization reflects the values and dedication we share both personally and professionally. Together, we have established a foundation that guides our educational approach and the high standards we uphold throughout Rize Over Run LLC.

Cortez Young | Co-Founder & Educator

Cortez Young is a certified educator in Middle Grades Mathematics and Exceptional Student Education (K–12). He earned his bachelor's degree in Exceptional Student Education in 2015 and brings more than a decade of experience working with scholars of diverse academic backgrounds and learning abilities.

Recognized as a Highly Effective Educator, Cortez has demonstrated a strong commitment to academic excellence and student achievement. His professional accomplishments include a nomination for the Ida S. Baker Educator of the Year Award during the 2022–2023 school year and being named Teacher of the Year for the 2025–2026 school year.

With a strong foundation in mathematics and specialized instruction, Cortez understands the importance of identifying learning challenges, strengthening foundational skills, and developing instructional approaches that help scholars make meaningful academic progress.

As co-founder of Rize Over Run LLC, Cortez brings his experience, educational leadership, and commitment to expanding opportunities for scholars and families through quality academic services.

Latonya Young | Co-Founder & Educator

Latonya Young is a certified English Language Arts educator for grades 5–12 and holds an additional certification in Exceptional Student Education (K–12). With more than a decade of teaching experience, she has dedicated her career to strengthening literacy skills and supporting scholars in their academic development.

Recognized as a Highly Effective Educator, Latonya brings extensive knowledge in reading comprehension, written expression, and language development. She believes that strong literacy skills create opportunities for scholars to communicate effectively, think critically, and succeed across academic subjects.

Her instructional philosophy centers on meeting scholars at their current level of understanding while encouraging continued growth. Through purposeful instruction, encouragement, and consistent academic support, she works to help scholars develop confidence and become capable, independent learners.

As co-founder of Rize Over Run LLC, Latonya contributes her expertise in literacy education and her dedication to creating meaningful learning experiences that support scholars throughout their educational journey.
